For Windows users, there is the option to remove metadata so that no personal details are shared. Ask for technical help if you cannot delete the data yourself. 

Delete sent messages

While there is the option of deleting sent messages and photographs do not depend on that as a factor. If someone manages to get a screenshot of the message or photo your privacy will still be compromised. You must only exchange such texts with someone you fully trust and are sure it will not be leaked in any manner.

Be wary of devices connected to your smartphone

With most of our smartphones connected to a variety of electronic devices like tablets and laptops, there is always the risk of someone accessing texts or photos on the other device. When sending such texts or messages ensure these will not be accessible on other devices at home or your workplace.
